Help Wanted

Nursery Laborers

                                                   Seasonal: March 1-December 1

                                                   Wholesale and Retail Garden Center

                                                   Hours: Will be discussed at time of interview

                                                  

                                                  Hard workers with good driving record only

                                                  Good communication skills needed for retail and wholesale customer interaction

                                                  Heavy lifting required

                                                  Unload nursery stock (trees, shrubs, and evergreens) and put in sales areas

                                                  Pull orders for contractors and load onto their trucks or trailers

                                                  Deliver to home and job sites--No landscaping or planting

                                                  Maintain nursery stock (weeding, pruning, and watering)

                                                  Operate and maintain equipment

 

                                                  Equipment Operation:

                                                  Stick shift trucks--CDL not required

                                                  New Holland Skidsteers

                                                  Forklifts

                                                  Front end loaders

                                                  Weedeaters

                                                  Gas pruners

 

                                                  ***Horticulture knowledge and education desired***

Assistant Manager Trainee

                At Action, we are currently in need of employees with horticulture experience and

                or horticulture education to work in sales and to preserve the high quality of our

                plants. Plant knowledge is required to pull orders and sell to retail and wholesale

                customers. A good driving record is necessary and preferably, he or she should

                have the ability to drive a stick-shift truck and a skidster to load and deliver nursery

                stock. The applicant must take pride in his or her work to maintain the quality of

                plant material. This is a great job for an outdoors person in good physical

                condition. There are part-time and full-time openings.

 

Laborer-Cashier-Sales

                Employees must be physically fit to work where needed in the garden center

                and greenhouses. He or she must be able to run the cash register and computer,

                as well as help customers in the store and on the telephone. He or she must

                be flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks. Horticulture experience and or

                education required. This is a great job for a person who loves plants and

                communicates well with others. There are part-time and full-time openings.
